hey, chicago kids... clue me in. my friend is writing a city guide for metropolis magazine and needs tips on cool / fancy restaurants or bars that opened in wicker park or downtown chicago in the last year.

the violet hour is a super-lux hidden speakeasy in wicker park that opened last fall. the owner is from nyc's milk & honey. they have 7 different kinds of bitters and 8 different kinds of ice!

violet hour is the first one I thought of as well
sepia is in the west loop, which is downtown-ish
Uuuuh maybe between in wicker? I haven't been there
milk & honey bake shop and sweet cakes in wicker if they want to cover bakeries
