it was james' birthday this weekend. his friends feted him with a brunch on sunday complete with layered nutella cake and other treats. i gave him a zipcar membership for our future road trips, and a travel-themed package of gifts from flight 001, in the west village. all the cake and cookie eating inspired me to scan some of my vintage recipe cards. i love the "men's favorite" and "age of aquarius." hilarious.

I have those in a big green plastic box. At my old apartment I covered my entire kitchen wall with them.
